There are more than one billion South Asians in the world. Many live in South Asian countries such as India and Nepal, but there is also a large diaspora population living in the United Kingdom, the United States of America, Canada, certain Caribbean Islands, Fiji, and Mauritius. South Asia is the birthplace of several major world religions including Hinduism, Sikhism, and Jainism.

The Seventh-day Adventist Church encourages the development of positive relationships with all people, including South Asians. The Center for South Asian Religions desires to increase your awareness of South Asian cultures and religions in order to help you better understand how to build these positive relationships.
