Veiled Country: Scoring Goals for Jesus

A NOTE OF THANKS FROM A PIONEER

We would like to thank you for your support of God’s mission in our city. We’ve been living in this city for a little over two years now, and each day we are learning more of this culture and finding ways to connect with people while allowing our lives to be a witness of our faith. Our family is involved in an urban center of influence that focuses on soccer training for kids between the ages of 5 and 15. This soccer academy gives the children a place where they can learn soccer in a friendly way, where the focus is not only on learning the skills but also on their whole development.

Last summer we offered a day camp emphasizing sports, values, and healthy habits. A mother once told us, “There is a different spirit here.” We praise God for that!

This year we plan to add a language center that will offer classes with native speakers and different settings to practice the language in real situations. We hope to include cooking classes, a health club, and an early-stimulation program with music for small children. We praise God because this will give us other opportunities to share His love with the people here.
